Hi. My name is Jules. I’m a journalist.

I approach journalism as a public service. Everyone deserves free, reliable access to information about the world around them, so they can make their own informed decisions. It’s my job to get them that information.

I’ve been covering technology and politics for the past four years; outside of hard news, I’m an avid essayist, and I get a lot of joy out of editing to help others find their voices in writing. By training, I’m a linguist; I’m fascinated by the structure of language, and how I can use it to create nuance.

As much as I love writing, though, I don’t love writing about myself. So in order for you to get as much out of this portfolio website as you need, let’s do this choose-your-own-adventure style!
